ISDG Internship and Post Graduate Certificate Programme

Institute for Sustainable Development and Governance (ISDG) invites applications from graduates in any discipline for a one-of-a-kind internship opportunity in Public Policy, Governance, Sustainable Development and Human Rights and to obtain a Post Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Development and Governance. ISDG internship offers a practical learning space under eminent Academicians, UN Officials, Diplomats, Media Practitioners and Policy Makers. The selected interns will be personally mentored by John Samuel (President ISDG and Former UNDP Global head of Democratic Alliances and Governance). Candidates who successfully complete the internship will receive a Post Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Development and Governance.

Requirements

  • Graduates in Any Discipline

  • Demonstrated strong research and analytical skills in previous professional work and academic work

  • Ability to work in a cross functional initiative.

Mode: Online and Offline Duration- 3 months Last date to Apply: September 5th, 2021

What will you learn from the Post Graduate Course?

This course focuses on the intricacies of Sustainable Development and Governance to develop a practical tool and skillset necessary for policy studies. A meticulously formulated curriculum to understand the complexities of the Indian condition – its social fabric, economics, and politics – both academically and in the context of socio-cultural realities, will guide this programme for preparing youth in the praxis of Sustainable development and Governance. The course content includes understanding the society, theory and practice of public policy, institutions of governance and theory and practice of Sustainable Development and research methods. The curriculum combines the theory and practice of engaging with public policy issues and its advocacy at various levels. Methodology includes classroom sessions, case studies and films, interactions with policy researchers, academics and practitioners and subject experts. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, academic inputs and interactive sessions will be held using online communication platforms. All learning material will be made available in soft forms and submissions will also be made electronically.

ISDG is a research and advocacy organisation involved in public policy research and documentation, capacity development, knowledge networking and advocacy. We focus to build knowledge for social change and take the information out of seminar rooms to the people.
